MHH were in charge of demolition and dismantling of this fire damaged, vacant listed building. The site was close to a number of residential properties, and a student village. To allow reconstitution of the building the project involved careful deconstruction, each item surveyed in situ, removed, recorded, palletised, labelled and wrapped, then removed for safe storage off site.

Requirement of temporary support and protection of existing parts of the structure and roof, retention and propping of existing facades, temporary support to structural load bearing walls and floors, the strengthening and support of key items of the existing roof structure. Removal of sections of internal floors/ ceilings over three storeys including temporary support, working at height (crane and MEWPS) to remove sections of roof and chimneys.
