Our Managing Director hails from farming stock, establishing MHH Contracting in 1985, and initially operating the company as a tipping business in Sheffield. Although, he soon saw the opportunities afforded by reprocessing waste including its recovery and reuse, thus expanding the company to become a local leader in waste recycling and allied industries.

Since those early days we have grown through solely organic methods, widening our scope of operations considerably to allow us to operate within a varied gambit of other associated industries, predominantly these consist of demolition and dismantling, haulage, plant and equipment hire, bulk earthworks, excavations, ground works, site remediation, land development, decommissioning, security services, skip and container hire, asbestos removal, materials and aggregates processing and supply.

We have operated within the same family shareholding and directorship structure since our incorporation, now the second generation are also heavily involved at managerial and operational levels. Their input provides us with a keen, sharp additional dimension to the approach and mindset of the organisation.  

We are a truly local firm, proud to have been born and raised in the Steel City. We are now relishing the opportunity to undertake increasingly complex contracts throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire, Midlands, Leicestershire, Tynemouth and London. These projects provide our team with exciting new opportunities for knowledge expansion and growth, both in the company and the individuals behind us.
